New Pets of the Week- Tiffany and Sterling

Our newest pets of the week are Tiffany and Sterling. They are 5 year old Italian Greyhound/ Chihuahua mixes. They are sweet, quiet and have fantastic manners! They are in need of a loving home, and they are intensely bonded, so it would be best if they could be placed in a home together. If you are looking for some companion dogs who love to cuddle with you and don't need too much activity, Tiffany and Sterling would be your perfect matches! For more info on how to adopt them, visit our website http://www.greatpets.org

Mardi Paws and New Beginnings Goes to the Dog Parks!

Thank you to all of you who were so supportive during our visits to local Orange County dog parks this last weekend. We were out in full force at the Irvine and Laguna dog parks to promote our upcoming Mardi Paws Casino Night and Silent Auction on April 25th! Check out Cambria’s outfit!!!! Mardi Gras beads and a bandana with our event's logo. What a snazzy girl:)

We loved getting to know you and the animals you love. There are so many great rescue stories out there. We want to hear yours and share them with our community. Please tell us your story at mardipaws@gmail.com and it could end up on our blog or shared at our event.

And keep an eye out for the dogs and volunteers in beads. We will be visiting dog parks across the southland, spreading our message and Mardi Paws event. So don’t be shy. Come say hi. We would love to meet you and your pet!

Remember, if you'd like to attend our event you can RSVP and buy raffle tickets on our website, http://www.greatpets.org

Some of our newest rescues!

I want to introduce you to some of our newest rescues! Sisters Lola and Leah and spunky little Lucas. They were rescued from the shelter in Merced County in Central California. A place that unfortunately has a very high euthanasia rate. The kennel won't treat sick dogs, so if we hadn't rescued them, they would have been put to sleep and never had a chance for the life they deserve. They are all still just puppies! Lola and Leah around four months, and Lucas around 14-16 months.

All three have very bad cases of demodectic mange, worms and kennel cough. They've been started on antibiotics, been given medicated baths to sooth their swollen, infected skin and are well on their way to a full recovery! As soon as they are ready to go to their new homes, we will have them up on our website and they will be ready for adoption.

Until then, you can show your support by attending our Mardi Paws event on April 25th in Rancho Santa Margarita and donating! All funds will go to help dogs and cats like Lola, Leah and Lucas get rescued from euthanasia and pay for their medical treatment. For more information see the invitation 2 blog posts down.

Anyone would be lucky to add these pups to their family!
